Your High-Definition Designs: The Perfect Bridge from Printing to Fabric — Professional DTF Transfer Film
If ink is the "blood," and hot melt powder is the "glue," then the DTF film is the "skeleton" that holds everything together. We understand that what appears to be a simple thin film is actually the invisible champion that determines print clarity, transfer success, and the final hand feel. This is not just an ordinary plastic film but a precision-engineered, three-in-one functional substrate. Choosing it means selecting a reliable foundation for your entire DTF production process.
Pain Point: Blurry or bleeding edges in the design?
Cause: Ordinary films have poor ink absorption, leading to ink diffusion.
Our Solution: Nano-porous matte ink-absorbing coating that locks ink molecules quickly, ensuring sharp edges and vibrant colors.
Pain Point: Residual patterns or difficult film peeling after transfer?
Cause: Poor release layer formulation, causing uneven adhesion.
Our Solution: Precision release force control technology ensures perfect adhesion to the fabric during heat pressing, and clean, effortless peeling after cooling with zero residue.
Pain Point: Film wrinkling or jamming during printing or passing through machines?
Cause: Substrate is too thin or has uneven tension.
Our Solution: 75μm balanced thickness and anti-static treatment, ensuring excellent mechanical strength and smooth paper feed.
High-Definition Print Quality: Special coating for the highest color reproduction and detail clarity.
100% Clean Release: Patented release layer ensures no pattern residue on the film after transfer, eliminating waste.
Superb Operational Stability: Selected PET substrate with high tensile strength that remains wrinkle-free and shape-stable during high-speed printing and high-temperature curing.
Wide Compatibility: Perfectly works with mainstream water-based DTF inks and hot melt powders available in the market.
Dual Protection Options: We offer both standard single-coating films and sublimation-resistant double-coating films to address the transfer challenges on dark fabrics.

Choose [Type A Single-Coated Standard Film]: If you mainly print on light-colored or white fabrics, and the fabrics are mostly regular cotton or polyester. This is the most cost-effective and versatile choice.
Choose [Type B Double-Coated Sublimation-Resistant Film]: If you need to print on dark fabrics such as deep black, navy, or other dark synthetic fabrics (especially those with a high polyester content). The back coating effectively prevents fabric dyes from sublimating at high temperatures, which could contaminate the design and heat press plate, ensuring high-quality results.
- Installation: Insert the film roll into the printer, ensuring that the matte-coated side (printing side) is facing up. The glossy or coated side is for contact with the heat press machine.
- Printing Settings: Select the appropriate media type in the printer driver (such as “Matte Film” or “DTF-Specific Film”) to achieve the best color results.
- Subsequent Processes: After printing, proceed with powder sprinkling and curing as soon as possible to avoid changes in ink performance due to prolonged exposure.
- Transfer Parameters Recommendation: Heat press temperature of 160-165°C, time 10-15 seconds, medium pressure. When peeling the film, wait until it cools to a warm temperature (about 40°C) or completely cools down, then peel off in one smooth motion.
Q1: Can DTF film be replaced with ordinary projector film or PET plastic sheets?
A1: Absolutely not. Ordinary films lack ink-absorbing coatings, so the ink cannot adhere and will accumulate and flow. They also lack a hot-melt release layer, meaning the pattern will 100% fail to peel off during transfer. Using such films will damage the printer head and cause a complete failure.
Q2: Why is there occasionally some ink or adhesive residue on the film after transfer?
A2: This is a critical case of either "excessive release" or "insufficient release." It’s usually caused by slight deviations in heat press temperature or time. Please calibrate your heat press equipment. If the problem persists, it may be due to the fabric fibers being too loose or the coating being abnormal in a specific batch, in which case you can contact us for a batch replacement.
Q3: Are there any differences in printing and transfer settings between single-coated and double-coated films?
A3: The printing settings are exactly the same. The difference is in the transfer process: the back side of the double-coated film is more heat-resistant and non-stick, offering extra protection, especially when heat pressing dark fabrics at higher temperatures. No special adjustments are needed in operation.
Q4: How should the film be stored? What if I don't use the whole roll after opening?
A4: Be sure to store it in a sealed, light-protected, and moisture-free environment. After opening, wrap the remaining film in the original plastic bag, squeeze out the air, and store it in a cardboard box. Avoid placing it under direct air conditioning or in a humid basement. It is recommended to use the film within 3-6 months after opening.
Q5: Does this film require a specific printing environment?
A5: The ideal printing environment is between 18-28°C in temperature and 40-60% humidity. Too low humidity can cause static electricity, leading to paper feed issues; too high humidity can cause the ink-absorbing coating to absorb moisture, affecting print drying speed and color performance.
