Product Description
DTG Magenta Ink Cartridge - High Saturation For Epson Printers Printing
Features

This DTG magenta ink is specially developed for professional printing workshops that pursue exceptional color performance. It uses a high-concentration pigment formula to produce a vivid and accurate true red tone, easily matching standard color codes such as Pantone 185C, ensuring consistent brand logos and design patterns. The ink offers excellent fluidity and anti-drying properties, effectively reducing the risk of printhead clogging during high-frequency use, ensuring continuous and stable production with popular models like Epson F2100 and F9370. After printing, the ink deeply penetrates the fibers and forms a soft, durable print layer that resists fading and cracking even after washing, making it a reliable choice for enhancing the print quality of cotton garments like T-shirts.

Print Media

Best Media: Natural Fiber Fabrics

Pure Cotton Fabric: This is the preferred choice for achieving the best performance with this ink. The ink is fully absorbed by the cotton fibers, presenting the brightest and most durable red, with a soft hand feel.

Other Natural Fibers: The ink also performs well on fabrics containing natural fibers such as cotton-linen blends, bamboo fiber, and silk (testing required).

Suitable Media: Cotton Blended Fabrics

Cotton-Polyester Blend: Printing is possible, but the results vary with the cotton content. The higher the cotton content (recommended to be over 50%), the better the brightness and durability of the red color. On fabrics with higher polyester content, the color may appear slightly darker, and adhesion may decrease.

To ensure the red color remains vibrant and long-lasting on different media, the correct process must be followed:

Pre-Treatment: Use a dedicated pre-treatment solution on all fabrics before printing. This is a critical step to ensure proper color adhesion and wash durability.

Printing on Dark Garments: When printing red designs on black or dark-colored garments, a layer of white ink must be printed first as a base coat. Without this, the red color will appear significantly darker and may not show properly.

FAQs:

Frequently Asked Questions about DTG Red Ink

Q1: Is your red ink a “true red”? Will it appear orange or dark?

A: Our red ink is specifically formulated to be a standard true red (close to Pantone 185C), designed to reproduce a bright and vibrant red without any orange or dark hues, especially on cotton fabrics.

Q2: Why does the red design look dull when printed on a black T-shirt?

A: This is a common issue when printing on dark garments. Due to the dark base fabric, the red ink gets covered, resulting in a dull appearance. To achieve vibrant and saturated red, you must print a layer of white ink as a base coat before printing the red. Our red ink is highly compatible with the white base ink.

Q3: Does the red ink perform the same on all cotton fabrics?

A: The performance is generally consistent, but the fabric weave and pre-treatment may slightly affect the final appearance. We recommend testing a sample of the target fabric before mass production to ensure the red effect meets your expectations. Typically, standard cotton fabric with proper pre-treatment yields the best results.

Q4: Are there any special curing temperature requirements for printing red?

A: The curing temperature for red ink should follow the standard process: 160-165°C with heat press for 25-30 seconds. The key is to ensure that the curing is thorough and even. Insufficient temperature may reduce the wash fastness of the red color, while localized overheating could cause the color to darken slightly.

Q5: Is the red ink prone to clogging? How should it be stored?

A: Our red ink uses a highly stable formula with excellent anti-settlement properties. For daily use, simply follow the printer’s basic maintenance procedures. If the printer is expected to be idle for more than a week, it’s recommended to perform the head moisturizing shutdown procedure as per the manual. Unopened ink should be stored in a cool, dark place.
